A Touch of Home
7-15 January 2004

Before their arrival, I'd bought a new train set for the boys to add to the one they had.  Leaving it in the box, it was to be "Grandpa's Project" with them, and they worked him to the bone creating new designs.

The first track design.

Something hit Jonathon's funny bone.

Story time with grandma
General consensus is that Jonathon is grandpa's mini-me.
We'll find out when we have baby photos to compare.

Lots of time was spent at the playground.

Grandma went home with plenty of sore muscles.

While grandma's with the kids, my dad and I take some time to chat at the school playground.

Jonathon causing his normal number of heart attacks.

Bad photos from a very dark Bamboo Organ Church.  You can see the flutes.  The keyboard is as it appears.

The caretaker spent a while extolling the virtues of his organ, while at the same time admitting that visiting organists arrive weeks beforehand to become accustomed to the odd design of the instrument.

You can barely see the stops on the left, but if you strain you'll notice how thick and long they are.

Access route to the organ bench.  The platform is suspended and about 3 feet wide.

The walkway to Sonya's Garden.  The restaurant is open air, but enclosed by screens.  Inside, plant life flourishes as well

Salad time.

Great photo of my 3 favorite girls.

The image was 11X14 and obviously didn't fit on the scanner,
so here you have a spliced image of
