Iraq Al Amir

It's only 30 minutes away in Wadi AsSeer, but Iraq Al Amir and the Qasr Al-Abd is well worth a morning of your time just because of its proximity and general coolness, especially in the green spring.

Camel on a fountain leopard butt.

Qasr Al Abd - not really a castle, not really a palace, not a temple...

Climbing on ancient ruins. We love Jordan.

The wet cave. One might expect a dino to step out from this ecosystem.

Following the visit to the qasr and the cave dwellings, we had lunch at the nearby women's co-op.  I enjoy makloubeh quite a bit, and it's definitely one of the things I'll miss when I leave Jordan.  When our cafeteria has it for lunch, it's hard for me to say no.

The other nice thing about this trip was that Becca had the camera.  I'm in some photos!  That rarely happens.
