What do you blog about when there's nothing to blog about??

I feel like such a blogger loser these days.  There's nothing new going on.  Plenty IS going on, but nothing NEW.  It's all been done before. I mean, here's a picture of this year's tree:

Another year. Another tree.  This is a new pre-lit tree which is really nice to have, and the cats have left it alone, and the only presents under it right now are ones I have wrapped for the rest of my family. Not one for me.  I've checked.

Here's the latest 17 year old in the family:

Another year.  Another birthday.  We took her out to dinner with a couple friends to Reem Al-Bawadi, and today she and I spent time at the mall(s) choosing a couple new sweaters and a dress for her.  She needs new clothes like a hole in the head, but don't let her know I said that. We had Pink Berry and just chatted about life, the universe, and everything.

Another year. Another precooked turkey from AECSA. But this year I made some pretty awesome mashed potatoes and we skipped all the stuff people didn't like and replaced with stuffing, raw green beans, raw carrot sticks, and a single baked sweet potato for me. The "no fail 7-up biscuits" were a disaster but got eaten anyway, because, hey it's kinda bread. And that guy who doesn't look like he belongs had his first ever Thanksgiving dinner at our house.

So there you have it.  Three fun, normal, yearly, things.  In a couple weeks there will be new stuff, but until then...
